Minney Stands Tall with 34 Saves in 1-0 Loss

11/25/2018 9:51 PM -

One of the main advantages the Thunderbolts have had on their opponents this year has been the outstanding play of their goaltenders, Braeden Ostepchuk and tonight's starter, Ed Minney.  Giving his team every opportunity to win tonight, he made 34 saves, as the Bolts came up just short, 1-0.

The lone goal of the game came from Quad City's Phil Bronner with 2:16 to go in regulation time.  Ed Minney was named third star of the game, with a save percentage of .971.  The Thunderbolts return home to host the Quad City Storm on Friday and Saturday night at the Ford Center.  You can get your tickets at the Ford Center Ticket Office, or online at EvansvilleThunderbolts.com.
