THUNDERBOLTS FALL TO THE HAVOC IN A 5-2 LOSS

12/21/2018 11:55 PM -

The Evansville Thunderbolts fall to the Huntsville Havoc in a hard-fought loss tonight. Mark Petaccio would keep up his hot streak, as he would find the back of the net once again, for the 5th game in a row, however it would not be enough as the Havoc would get the upper hand, winning 5-2.

Thunderbolts started the second period strong, as Scott Donohue made it 2-1 with an assist from Brandon Lubin. Huntsville would respond with another two goals before Petaccio would score his goal with 3:25 left off a set-up by Donohue, also assisted by Tyler Howe, fresh off of call-up to the Atlanta Gladiators.  In the third period, the Bolts would pull Braeden Ostepchuk for a full 2-minute 6-on-4 advantage, but just couldn't find the back of the net once again, as Huntsville would add an empty netter to win 5-2.

For Evansville, Donohue had a goal and assist and Petaccio picked up a goal.  Ostepchuk would make 41 saves on the night.
