On Wednesday, the Thunderbolts and Head Coach/Director of Hockey Operations Jeff Bes announced a pair of transactions, led by the signing of defenseman Michael Douglas.

Douglas joins the Thunderbolts following the conclusion of his college hockey career at York University, where he played 42 games between 2019-2023 and played alongside Thunderbolts' goaltender Cole Ceci.  Prior to college, the native of Riverside, Ontario played four seasons of junior hockey between 2015-19, primarily with the Chatham Maroons of the GOJHL between 2015-17, and the Pembroke Lumber Kings of the CCHL between 2017-19, with a brift stint with the AJHL's Brooks Bandits in 2017.  With the Maroons, Douglas totaled 6 goals and 52 points in 81 games, followed by 19 goals and 65 points in 104 games with the Lumber Kings.

In additional transaction news, forward Bair Gendunov has been called up to the ECHL's Tulsa Oilers.  Gendunov has scored 12 goals and 28 points in 25 games with Evansville so far this season.
