On Thursday, the Thunderbolts and Head Coach/Director of Hockey Operations Jeff Bes announced a pair of transactions, led by the signing of forward Logan vande Meerakker.

Vande Meerakker, who can play both forward and defense, recently turned pro with the Fayetteville Marksmen, playing in four games.  Prior to Fayetteville, the native of Dieppe, New Brunswick played two seasons of college hockey with Alvernia University from 2022-2024, following two seasons at Norwich University from 2020-22.  In 69 total games of college hockey, Vande Meerakker scored 24 goals and 69 points, and was named to the 2022-23 MAC Second All-Conference Team.  Prior to college, Vande Meerakker played three seasons of junior hockey with Pictou County of the NSJHL and MJAHL from 2017-2020.

In additional transaction news, forward Brady Lynn has been placed on season-ending Injured Reserve.  In 18 games with Evansville this season, Lynn scored 5 goals and 8 points.
