On Tuesday, the Thunderbolts and Head Coach/Director of Hockey Operations Jeff Bes announced the addition of forward Jared Christy, who was signed to a professional tryout (PTO).
Christy made his debut in pro hockey late in 2022-23 with the ECHL's Iowa Heartlanders, playing in two regular season games. The native of Cypress, California played junior hockey with the Wenatchee Wild of the BCHL for most of the 2017-18 season, scoring 5 goals and 9 points in 33 games before departing to the NAHL with Odessa, where he finished the 2018 season and played most of 2018-19, before finishing with the Austin Bruins. In 79 total NAHL games, Christy tallied 28 goals and 63 points. Following juniors, Christy played four seasons of college hockey with the University of New England, scoring 35 goals and 76 points in 74 games between 2019-2023.
