On Monday, Head Coach/Director of Hockey Operations Jeff Bes announced a pair of transactions, led by the signing of forward goaltender Cody Karpinski to a standard contract.

Karpinski is a veteran goaltender in his 9th professional season split between the SPHL, ECHL, and FPHL.  This season, the Chicago, Illinois native played one game for the Quad City Storm, stopping 31 of 34 shots in a 3-2 overtime loss at Macon on December 19th.  Karpinski holds a record of 19-26-3 and an .893% save percentage in 54 regular season SPHL games, 28 with the Pensacola Ice Flyers, 14 with the Macon Mayhem, 9 with the Knoxville Ice Bears, and the remaining games with the Huntsville Havoc and Quad City.  Karpinski previously served as a backup goaltender for the Thunderbolts briefly in the 2019-20 season but did not play any games.  Karpinski also played one game in the ECHL with the Savannah Ghost Pirates in 2022-23 and has dressed for the Indy Fuel and Rapid City Rush, along with the AHL's Cleveland Monsters.

In additional transaction news, Adam Manji has been placed on 14-Day Injured Reserve.  Manji has played in two games for far with Evansville, posting a .941% save percentage before departing Saturday's game due to injury.
