On Thursday, Head Coach/Director of Hockey Operations Jeff Bes announced signing of forward Aiden MacIntosh to a professional tryout (PTO).

MacIntosh joins the Thunderbolts after playing four seasons of Canadian college hockey at York University between 2022-2026, tallying 12 goals and 24 points in 92 games, including a significant uptick in production this season with 7 goals and 13 points in 28 games, which was third-most on the team in goals and fourth-most in points, and was guilty of only a single minor penalty the entire season.   The Moncton, New Brunswick native played three seasons of major junior hockey with the Saint John Sea Dogs of the QMJHL between 2017-2020, tallying 11 goals and 23 points along with only 25 penalty minutes in 93 regular season games.  MacIntosh further played another two and a half seasons of Junior A hockey in the MJAHL with the Fredericton Red Wings and Amherst Ramblers between 2019-2021 and with the Trenton Golden Hawks of the OJHL in 2021-22, recording 47 goals and 114 points in 124 total games of Junior A hockey before enrolling at York University.
